Cedartree Management Company has been incorporated in the states of Oregon and Washington since July, 1992.
Lynne Powell, president of the company, has been a licensed real estate broker in Oregon since 1986 and in Washington since 1993. Cedartree Management Company is engaged exclusively in the full-service fee management of self storage facilities. The company provides the management of truck rental dealerships and merchandise sales as part of its regular services. Currently, the company manages 22 facilities, with six locations in Vancouver, Washington and sixteen locations in Oregon on the I-5 corridor between Eugene and Portland. Powell employs an office staff of two and three district managers to help provide top quality management for these stores. Gidget Firth, Office Manager, has worked for Cedartree Management for six years and Tracy Radford, Finanacial Records Manager has worked for the company for nine years. Kathleen Masiba holds the position of Senior District Manager and oversees eight sites in the Portland Metro area. She has worked closely with Lynne for the last 18 years. Dana Mishler is the District Manager for eight sites, primarily in the Vancouver, Washington area and has worked for the company for seven years. Chris Wheelan has been with the company for four years. She is the District Mananger of six sites in the Willamette Valley from Salem to Coos Bay, OR.
Lynne Powell entered the self storage industry in 1978 as a supervisor for ULI Management, Inc. one of the first third-party management companies in the country, specializing in the management of storage facilities. During her ten years with ULI Management, Inc., Powell trained over 50 management teams and was involved in the day-to-day operations of more than 75 facilities. As general manager and then vice president of ULI Managment, Powell was directly responsible for 35 facilities in the states of Oregon and Washington.
Powell was active for some years on both the regional and national boards of the Self Storage Association. She served for two years as president of the Western Region board of the Association and also served for two years as secretary of the national board. Powell has been a guest speaker at industry conventions speaking on topics including marketing, auditing and employee supervision.
